To guarantee the steady development extracurricular activities among students, student common rooms have been facilitated. To provide specific facilities to girls, there is a separate common room for them. The common rooms chiefly have two divisions – reading rooms and games. The reading room division provides the facilities of many magazines and journals of different languages i.e. Hindi, Bangla, Urdu, Maithili, Santali etc for students.
In games division, there are facilities of many indoor games like badminton, table tennis, chess, carom board etc. For the benefit of students, there is a sound amplifying device with radio, too. The common room divisions organize competitions of debate, speech, essay writing etc to boost soft skills of students. Cultural events are also organized on several occasions here.
The library is an important part of the college which accomplishes the demands of teachers and students. About 44000 text and reference book, 3000 journals are available in the library. It also has question banks. The librarian registers each and every new book in consultation with the relevant departmental heads. Also, every new book gets seal of college immediately. Without seal, no book can be issued to anyone.
Library Card is provided to student after admission by the professor in-charge of the library. This card has name, roll no and class of the student imprinted. In case of lost or damaged library card, anyone can get it re-issued by paying the amount of Reissue Charge. The student must take care of the card and report to the concerned professor or librarian as soon as possible in case of lost or damage. The library card is non-transferrable and violation of it shall be punished according to law.
The college has a large campus of over 37 acres of land, spread on both sides of Dumka-Pakur main road. Being situated far away from the maddening crowd of the township, the college provides splendid environment for staying and learning. The college has tweleve welfare hostels - one general, six for ST students, three for SC students, one for girls and one minority hostel which provide comfortable residence to the scholars.
The athletic club of Santal Pargana College, Dumka provides sufficient facilities of various sports and games like football, cricket, and lawn tennis to the students. Usually, once in every session annual athletic meet is organized by the college. The most successful athlete of this meet is awarded with Sinheshwar Sahay Trophy. The most successful student of this meet is awarded with Yashwant Sinha Running Championship Trophy. Other than these awards, many medals and prizes are distributed among successful participants.
Participating in athletic meets is necessary for the physical training and fitness of the students. Regular guidance and training are constantly available in campus for the physical training of students.
